Not sure if this is quite within the remit of the group... I was inspired by my visit to the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibition to try and produce a piece of artwork of my own. I was particularly struck by the increasing levels of abstraction in some of her works. As I lack any skill with paint and brushes I started with a photo taken from the Tate balcony and took it from there. No "trick" software, just GIMP, basic pencil tool for most of it, gradient fills for the water. The original measures 3840 pixels - it took a while.
Fantastic result. I'm amazed by the level of detail and the colors are very pleasing to the eye. Very well done! Tony
It's actually pretty good...Except you've killed off all the people! It's a wonderful exhibition, and I'm glad you managed to catch it. I also found it inspiring..what a great artist she was.
Georgia O'Keefe is one on my favourite artists with great links to Photography through her husband and also Ansel Adams who she accompanied at times on his trips. I've seen quite a bit of her work but not this particular exhibition. Ian
The people were spoiling the clean lines of the bridge - sometimes there have to be sacrifices for art.
