Oozes space and scale, Chris. And I really like the natural colour balance. The clouds complement the composition beautifully too.
All-in-all, a winner I reckon.
Very pleased with this one! It was whacked off on the hoof with a 35mm lens on a crop sensor DSLR. The tree looks like it has been stretched a little through an aspect ratio balls-up but that's as it was. I also captured it with the Bronica (and a little more care), so I'll be interested to compare the two .
Very eye catching, Chris. I like it.
A great picture. The gathering cloud is perfect, the tree is settling down ready for the dark days of winter as the dark cloud rolls in.
Thanks Dave, for your thoughts. I thought something similar to you about the clouds and felt the long shadow played nicely into that.
What a jolly thoughts....
