    A frame, a vase (at least something that works as such), and some mid-summer annual lathyrus flowers.

    A fine image. The hard, glossy surface of the container works well with the soft flowers.

    I agree, the contrast works very well and rendering those colourful flowers in B&W is very effective. Our Sweet Pease are flowering also, amongst the tall stands of Asparagus.
