This is the southeast tower of Qasr Al Muwaiji in Al Ain, the World Heritage Site in the United Arab Emirates.

Been on holiday, Brian? I love the architecture from this part of the world, and you've captured it well. Great pov, and the deep shadows are wonderful. I hope you have more to share from this trip?

Not only a fine building, but a damn fine image. Love the geometry, shadows and overall simplicity. Superb.

All that has been said. Light and shadow shows the excellent contrast.

Agreed, simple but very effective, a fine shot.

Thanks Rob. Yeah I was in the UAE for 8 days. I was invited to be a member of an architectural photographers delegation. Not sure you knew him but @Pete Askew will remember an RPF member from way back when named Darren Bradley. Darren is a well-known (and damn fine!) photographer of modernist architecture. Anyway, Darren also was one of the delegates. I'll post more images as time goes on. Thanks again.

I vaguely remember Darren. It sounds like you are very serious about architectural photography, and from my perspective you do it rather well. More power to you, sir!
