Thanks for your thoughts Pete. Yes I agree that colour is definitely where I should be concentrating my effort

My thirteenth shot for this thread proved to be rather unlucky. Some fat git got in the reflection in the window.

Some fine additions to the series, Chris. I especially like the last, with the jigging figures in the background.

I'm really starting to miss my weekly visits to the cafe, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a shot of it tucked away on a roll of film I almost finished back in the middle of March, a week or so before the country came to a standstill.

    Spotted!

I should have mentioned above that I developed the roll (XP2) in Caffenol, which is probably only right and proper for a cafe shot.

Looks somewhat desolate in b&w, lacking in vibrancy as all cafes are at the moment.

Given hindsight, that kind of looks like a wistful final closing of that door.

Things have been quiet around our favourite cafe for quite a while now, due to the jolly old Covid crisis. Something is stirring though. Just a murmur - the lights are on, but no-one is at home.

This is a fascinating pictorial history story you are telling. Still looking sadly desolate, hopefully it will survive the storm.

A few colour images taken yesterday from a completely new perspective.

If you look, you'll see a funny little sign on the pavement outside the cafe. I wonder....

My favourite from my visit yesterday though, is this one.

I wondered to myself earlier this year what I could shoot if there was no condensation on the windows of the cafe.
Here's the answer! The window of this particular shop diffuses my beautifully focused image a treat.

As viewed from a mirror universe. As a sci-fi fan many questions spring to mind. If it is open in the mirror universe is it still closed in the normal one? Are you using an anti-matter camera? etc, etc.

Good point Dave. I suppose, rather than being open, it would actually be 'Nepo'.
