Took the Hasselblad out today, after the first disaster of shooting an entire roll of the paper backing I was a little nervous i would mess something up ...
    Well, I did!
My bloody crappy spirals wont reel 120 film very well, and they decided to really be awkward today...
Still I managed to get 3 shots without finger prints all over them ...
Shot with FP4 Plus, developed with ilfosol 3 ...
few spots removed (im still getting the white snowy spots a bit Pete)
    Contrast tweaked in LR
as for the scanning ...ive played around with the scanner software a bit and found it varies vastly on contrast with different settings so ive gone for a set of settings that give a low contrast image with it in mind it is easier to add contrast than take it away!
    Anyway, here are the shots

    I am indeed!
Its a wonderful camera to use!!!!
Just need to work out what is causing these white spots ...
I suppose I could just use the scanner spot removal thing...?

Looking good Hamish. Can you zoom in on the spots? Might give an idea whether they are deposits from the dev. How clean are you spirals etc?

Not that I'm a great expert, but there are what look like small fibres in the sky of #2 along side the white specs, so I would assume its dust on the negative. Where are you drying the film?

Very nice images, Hamish. I especially like the third one. The sun reflecting off the brick is really nice.

I find 120 very hard to load on a reel. Sometimes it's a nightmare, other times it loads without undue difficulty. It's never easy, though. At least it hasn't been for me. Plastic or steel reels?

    What scanner do you use?

To be honest, im not to fussed about the odd spot...

I think the odd spot adds a little character but it would be nice to have clean negs yea? maybe picked up some floating dust in the kitchen, you have pets so would be a possible source, people moving around, eager photogs looking before dry :D how do you wash? do you use wetting agent? and two finger squeezie?
