I shot these two images just a few minutes apart. The first looking toward the north. Then later I shot into the sun which was rising in the east. Yashica 635 TLR with Kodak Portra 400 film.
At first I thought you'd snagged a plane on the line, but then realised it was the ship you trying to land! Both are hugely appealing images. The first is quite dream like - I'd even be tempted to lose the detail in the foreground too. The second is too, but definitely a different sort of dream! And what is that mystery object in the water at about 2 o'clock?!
I agree. But that would mean cropping the image, which is a practise I am generally averse to. Or if you prefer,...to which I am generally averse. What water at 2 o'clock? Thank you Pete!
You missed the comma; What, water at 2 o'clock! Follow the vertical line down and it's near the bottom, just to its right!
I like the second more. It is very difficult to get a good shot into the sun that balances well as an image. Well done sir!
