    Encountered a fun little friend.....

Might be hard to see depending on the device you are viewing on - but there is a little rattly friend in this picture. Pentax 645

Took the Large Format out again.....

Looks like I did my part with the camera and developing - however I am not too impressed with the Cinestill 400D 4x5 when it comes to handling it. It is the curliest / unruliest film I have ever worked with. I knew it felt pretty thin when I was loading my film holders. Soon as I started...

    Lakeside Pentax

I use Jobo tanks/reels, and a Adorama film changing desktop sized tent. I can probably load 3 rolls of 120 in the same time as one roll of 35mm.

Medium Format probably gets the win, second is Digital, then 35mm, and 4x5. Medium format (6x4.5 , 6x6) is the sweet spot for me as far as how many pics per roll. 35MM starts to feel like a chore lol. I also like developing 120 better, it is easier when it comes to getting it on the spools IMO.

Took the Large Format out again.....

I shoot more medium format than anything, but I try to take the Toyo out whenever I can. I am going to build a 6x17 panoramic camera here fairly soon as well. I will probably get around to developing the pics this weekend. Home developing is quite easy these days - and very cost effective...

Took the Large Format out again.....

Yesterday I took the Toyo out for an adventure. Shot some Cinestill 400D 4x5, CatLabs 80II, and some HP5.

Took my large format, medium format and digital up to Roosevelt lake yesterday, snapped a pic (with my Lumix G9) of the 645 relaxing.

    Frame full o' Feathers

I always laugh at people's first time reactions to the noise a peacock makes. Same with the bugling that an Elk makes. The "WTF was that" effect is fun.

    Frame full o' Feathers

Nice Find! I think mine is better, but I may be biased lol.

    Scharfe Stadtarchitektur, Wien.

Looks like what happens when my 3D printer has a layer shift error. Great pic & perspective.

That park has probably 20-30 peacocks at any given time - and sounds like a herd of giant mutant cats in heat from the "howling" of the peacocks.

When you have a stack of old family negatives to scan..

I am sure it wouldn't be too hard to put a stepper and controller on there. I built a camera slider using the same extruded rail and hardware - and that is stepper driven with a controller.

When you have a stack of old family negatives to scan..

This is my setup - I built a stand for the camera I use (Nex-7 w/ Minolta 50mm f2.8) out of old 3D printer parts. I used a lead screw setup so I can adjust the height quite precisely. I have a valoi 120 negative holder, and the lomography digitaliza+ for 35mm. I laser cut holders for them...

Potentially Disturbing Content Smartphones watch us when we let our guard down

When I was building hot-rods / race / customs for years - we would also do magazine builds. It is always quite entertaining being the subject of photo/video when you are used to being behind the camera. I think the funniest part of it - was one of the editors I worked with frequently (editor...

Took the Large Format out again.....

That was the one shot I really wanted visiting that place - and I am glad it turned out ok. Lol This trip taught me I need a wider lens as well.

Took the Large Format out again.....

Developed (Cinestill DF96 Monobath) and scanned (Sony Nex-7 w/ 50mm 2.8 macro Minolta) the first 6 images. This is the second time out with this camera - and I am pretty happy with the results. I was somewhat limited by only having one lens with me (Nikkor 180mm) but was glad I didn't have any...

Took the Large Format out again.....

We will see how they turned out. I know the first six shots I took with Catlabs 80II - I accidentally set my light meter to the wrong ISO - so I am going to have to fix that in developing, but the remaining 8 shots of Ilford HP5 I should develop normally.
