Camano Island (actually pronounced "cameeno" around these parts) is accessible by bridge and that bridge is about a one hour drive north of Seattle. This view is looking East from near Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island.

Infrared monochrome with Sigma SD Quattro with Sigma 30/1.4 and Hoya R72 filter.

Wow. There are clouds, and there are those clouds. Wonderful. The comp is spot on, and I love the touch of the birds on their poles, in their environment. A cracker.

Thanks Rob. This was taken at low tide. I guess you can tell by the barnacles on the poles where high tide reaches. At high tide I wouldn't have been able to stand where I did for this shot. I live near here now so I expect I'll gather a few more images from this vantage point over time.

Very eye catching. The IR and red filter make the clouds pop.

That is a great one. Love the composition and all the detail in the posts, shore and sea. What a wonderful sky!

What brilliant textures. I love it. It almost verges on the abstract.
