What is this?

    Excuse the diabolical comp, shake, blur, and everything else that's make this shot the worst to date on RPF.
    I was almost in the tree when I took this with the iPhone though.
    It was in the way to st Nectans Keive waterfall next to the stream if this helps.
    It attracted my attention as I've never seen it before. Very mushroom like, but a plant :/
    Any ideas you clever bunch of folk? It's probably very simple......

    Those leaves look like a Pennywort - but not sure about those flowers.

    I would agree with Dave. We have pennywort in our "pond in a barrel", but I don't think it has ever flowered...

    What's the scale Dan? I assume the flower spike is not related to the fleshy green 'leaves'.

    I'm certain you are right Dave and Lesley. And those are indeed the flowers it seems. Never seen one flowering before.

    I think the flower thingy is a different plant. It's the Mushroom thing I was intrigued in. And pennywort it is!!
