that's lovely, very dramatic. very nice reflections in the blackness of the water, and I love the amorphous thing in the background (which might well be foliage) which has great texture.

I bought loads of filters when I got my Voitlander VitoB, orange red yellow, etc. But never got around to using them. My new Zeiss Ikon Nettar takes same 32mm hood/filter so I should really make an effort since I've got loads of B&W medium format!

I love the tones, so maybe thinking it's time to use my red filter on something. They're all great, the first one is outstanding though, I love the sense of movement, and the birds being less blurry as they approach the centre really draws the eye in.

I don't know. It was exposed up to #8, and I don't know how many of those were the result of the seller checking it worked. I might wait until I eventually start developing my own, and use it as a test roll.

Those are fantastic. I think you're right about the square crop, although there is something about large areas of inky blackness in a photo that I like, it focusses the eye on the subject if you don't want to crowd the image. I also really like the 3rd one, great composition and looks a tricky...

a rather terrifying POV - were you hanging off the rail by your fingernails? - but a great shot. I like the 4 layers of land in the distance, and those layers of corrosion and dirt on the boat. The weather has almost turned the shot into B&W for you...

something about the size of that building and all those people crammed into it scares me, a sort of claustrophobia I think. And a fear of heights. It is a fascinating photo, though, great composition.

I love the light and the colours, looks like a mosaic. Not exactly like a mosaic, maybe more like crazy-paving/stained-glass hybrid, looks like you could walk on it...

you could get a camera with a waist-level finder? :-)

I very much like the angle, I'm generally a fan of shooting low, you get great perspectives, I like the lines of the roofing sheet pulling the eyes off to the right horizon (at the same time the eyes are being pulled along by that winding bit of string...)

That has an other-worldly look to it... I'm this close to buying a Nettar 518/17, which is why I'm looking at older photos!
