No problem and really sorry to hear about the microphone. I really like Michael Freeman's books and just in case I have incorrectly commented his work, I will quote what he said. Following a few paragraphs he continues It's a beautiful book and I hope to spend more time studying it.

Does the above quote mean that a small angular rotation of the focus ring produces a large change in focus? So an ideal lens would have a small change in focus for a large angular rotation? I am trying to update my knowledge concerning "photo language". Thanks in advance.
