Unfortunately no. the results seem to be that which you would get from a cheap 110 camera. Results from my Minolta Zooms and Pentax Auto Supers are much better.

No 1I don't have the Sedic version, I don't know what to attribute the softness to, the lens looks clean enough.

I have had some time to process and scan the Lomo Orca film I ran through the XP2. I blanked the window on the cartridge as I have had issues with the numbers bleeding through on to the image, and that seemed to do the trick. Mostly outdoor landscape photos and unfortunately not first class...

It would appear that the Sedic Camera Company in Japan made a number of cameras for other brands and rarely marketed them under their own brand. I am pretty confident that Sedic was the manufacturer and badge engineered the cameras to requirements.

I doubt it was many, based on the rarity of it turning up on eBay compared to others not that many can have been made

Here's a picture of the Sedic xf33 - remarkably similar and with the added ability to use flip flash! Exactly the same layout of controls and labels Note that the same system accessories are available for this camera as for the Hanimex XP2

Is the Hanimex XP2 or the Sedic xF33 shown in McKeowin's?

    Hanimex XP2 Automatic

Unfortunately it came without instructions, and although reasonably simple to work out what does what, I haven't figured out what the little red button on the top plate is for. I thought maybe battery test, but with new batteries in it still seems to do nothing. Observation so far seems to...

I have a predilection for the unusual with my photography gear and seeing a photo of this particular 110 camera on 35mmc and noting that it was, at the time, available with accessories that could arguably make it a system camera, I delved a little deeper. Very little detail is available online...

Critique Welcomed Altona, Hamburg with the Beast from the East

Recent "Fotospiel" adventure around Altona. "It'll be fun" they said - I made the mistake of choosing my Kiev 88 for this round - 2.5kg of Soviet engineering. To be honest I picked it up for a song a few years ago complete with a 30mm f3.5 Zodiak-8 fisheye lens which was worth more than I paid...

Service manual or circuit diagram for Multiblitz Profilux 200 and 400 studio flashes.

I have 3 Profilux 400 and 2 Profilux 200 heads, these all use the same flash tube COMROW-4, which are still available, if a bit pricey these days. Multiblitz folded a few years ago, my units are all pristine and only get hobby use so I cannot justify the cost of replacing them with current...

Critique Welcomed Hamburg at Christmas time 2024

First roll of colour film through my recently acquired Olympus 35 RD. Overcast days in general didn't help with the colour film, in this case Fujifilm Superia X-tra 400 ISO, although the interior shots seemed better. Camera: Olympus 35 RD, Shutter priority, Auto Lens: 40mm f1.7, fixed Film...

Crackin' lens , Gromit! I find this rangefinder easier to focus than my leica lenses, nicely damped and a short throw with a very clear rangefinder patch. It also seems to be very accurate.

Critique Welcomed Another new old camera

I picked up a rather nice Olympus 35 RD last week and ran a roll of Fomapan Classic through it to check out if it was working properly. The 35 RD (Rangefinder Deluxe) was the last rangefinder camera Olympus produced with both manual and auto exposure. It was in production following on from...

Critique Welcomed Singapore, Haw Par Villa - or more colloquially the "Tiger Balm Gardens"

Actually........ At one time it was operated as a theme park with rides, but the same problem occurred, it was too far out of town at the time. Eccentricity is the preserve of the wealthy!
