Just a quick note to let everyone know that Hamish has helped me change my name from to simply Chris...it's a little less pompous!:p Thanks Hamish!
And just for checking in, here's a bonus pic! My nephew showing off his skills (soccer in North America, football in the rest of the world!)
Chris will do...for some reason when I signed up, I was not allowed to use "Chris" or even "Christopher", and I feel like a bit of a schmuck with Christopher-James above all my posts....such is life.
I probably would not have thought of taking that photo..."who would want a picture of dying flowers?"...but it turned out to be quite beautiful. You should take more pics of flowers!;)
It's funny, at first glance, the waterfall looked quite big. Maybe because of the various tiers or steps. But on second look, I took note of the grass and realize it's actually quite small. Neat trick, and great photo!
I'm not sure if it's the fact that the pic is monochromatic, or if it's the wild looking trees, but to me it looks like a gate to enter the past....ooooo spooooky! Very nice shot!

It sure is...at least that's what I assumed when I saw Eric's photo. Here's the better half on the same lava field. The landscape on the "Big Island" of Hawaii is in a state of perpetual change...the island grows at an average of 0.02 km2 per year. The geological history of the Hawaiin...
Beautiful shots Eric! "Tranquility" is an amazing pic...almost looks like two photos stitched together. Keep 'em coming!
The "Irony" shot reminded me of my time on "the Big Island"...this photo was taken with a budget point'n'shoot, but you get the idea. I'm the scrawny guy on the left...
