Yep, Both of my parents smoked and both of my in-laws did as well. All of them had related maladies later in life that severely affected their standard of life, and ultimately ended their lives prematurely. Luckily, I never succumbed to the temptation.

When they moved Discovery to Udvar-Hazy, it was mounted on the back of a 747 and flown from the West Coast. Upon arrival to the DC area, the plane circled around giving people a view. On that day, I happened to be on the 7th floor of a building that the shuttle/747 literally circled at eye...

Even when the weather isn't good, I always enjoyed Scotland. With the exception of Aberdeen. Granite City is an apt descriptive.... ;)

Yikes. My jpg's are in the 2.5mb range. Compressing them to 1mb isn't going to be pretty. 🤔
