I thought I would start a thread here just to keep people in the loop about the big 35mmc update.
It has begun, so the current status is that the website is in maintenance mode and cannot be accessed.
It is expected to take all of today, but might also creep into tomorrow. If it does...
Photography simply isn’t only a technical subject - I can’t get my head around even the idea of separating photography from creativity… such a profoundly limiting and blinkered way to approach the subject…

I thought I would respond to the recent topic about real photographers with an example of what I see as real photography within my own work.
Real photography for me is summed up almost entirely by intent. That is to say, if a person picks up a camera and imagines what they are going to take...

I believe a "real" photographer to be anyone who takes a photo with any kit at any time with any sort of creative intent or goal.
Anything short of that feels like gate keeping to me. That is to say, who is anyone to say that another person who sees themselves as a photographer...
My M4-P remains a strong favourite. It's one of the only cameras I have ever owned which feel perfectly right. Even better that it looks like a bag of bolts... especially as it secretly really isn't
