Yes, the St. Bernadus photo was very poor IMO. I've not had a chance to do any more yet, but did some food photography last week for a local pub and that was hard work. Especially when 30 drunk salesman turn up and you're shooting in half of the bar area. And one of them eats one of your props..

A couple of shots from the day that I spent with The Clik Clik Collective last November (it might have been December - it was the weekend of the Victorian Fayre in Worcester).
AF assist was on for some shots and didn't help, whereas the 16-35 got a lock in almost pitch black (all I could see was the lights on the guitar amp). Part of the problem may be that I use a 5D2 and focussing in low light isn't it's best feature.

Does anyone have problems with getting the Canon 24-70mm to focus in low light? In the same conditions where my 16-35mm will focus lock without any problems, the 24-70mm focus hunts for ages.
Is this a common issue (does anyone else have both lenses to test) or is time for a lens service?
