Thank you for your thoughts. My post-processing is carried out on my iPad (Retina Display) in Snapseed, which works OK with the NEF files and offers a permanent export of the file to use online.
I would've liked more definition in the rock. The Live View screen was full of noise as I was...
It sure does contrast in Black and White. I'm certainly tempted. Luckily I have until July to make my mind up, but I always get heavily involved researching something functional, especially as we're tied in to 24 months on contract.
Thank you. I have a few others from there, but that was where I'd set up for that angle. Foolishly, right by the cliff edge. If nothing else, I like to be challenged to improve, so this is perfect fodder.
This is possibly too late, but I've always managed to get my 20D with battery grip and 50mm lens in one side of my Hadley Pro with room for the 10-20 Sigma or the D3300 w/ kit lens attached on the other. It surprises me how much it swallows.
I recently visited this wonderful locale with my Dad. The day was Foggy from Exeter to Weymouth and I was totally prepared to come home without the shot I wanted to capture. Fortunately, the weather lifted from the coast and I had a wonderful hour there. Only thing is, now I don't feel there's...
I only know it from its appearance in a video game, but I'd say you have captured the essence of its build in one photo. I agree, the shadow works perfectly here, because it creates the human feeling of scale when next to a tall building.
That's what I like about living here, it draws in visitors from the world over. Sadly, some of my acquaintances are far too insular to appreciate it. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit and thank you for your reply.
All taken on my Sony Xperia Z3plus, which suffered from a forced firmware update and is nowhere near as good as it was before, imo.
Snapseed is my editor of choice.
Thanks for the feedback. The hut image was the only one I particularly liked from the Jena. The Helios images were from one small patch of woodland and it got me to really look for ideas.
