I am, in southwest Scotland. The 6 or 7 hrs would be by road. The journey time could be shortened with flying the bulk of it, but I would imagine flying's the last thing on your mind at the mo lol.
I like and agree with Rob regarding that tension between old and new. The way the building seems to be almost looking directly back at the old guard gives extra emphasis. I'm still looking for that cat, though..
The knight's horse looks about a foot tall in the first shot. I like the warm colours.
I also prefer the second. There's something about it that reminds me of those wonderfully enchanting time lapse animations from the past.
An impressive sight, Brian, seeing so many of these beautiful birds in one place. I also like the contrast between the sharp, spiky boughs and the soft sky. A little snow thrown into the mix adds an extra dimension.
