Yes, Chris. I am not sure whether you know about the Agricultural Shows here in OZ. All towns have a show once per year where the country comes to the city - so to speak. They display their produce, participate in rodeo style of events (not as big as the normal rodeos), show their catlle...

Thanks for the comments. They were not far from the animal section of the show casually walking along one of the lanes. I used my 70-300 at a distance. Luckily there weren't that many people at the time. The mobile phone - all the young ones have them hanging out of their ears. Modern times...

I spent a day at the Canberra Show. Took quite a few photographs. This is a capture of a 'street' with a couple of youngsters. Oh to be young again.

Jim, I love the first - a great capture. The second is also fantastic. Great colors.

Peter, FastStone is a simple free software available on the 'net. I generally view my takes in it and do minor adjustments. If I need to go a little further I use PhotoPlus x4. Probably not as good as the Adobe products but suits my budget.

I have straightened the image however, there is some distortion because the bottom is wonky and the top is straight. For some reason a thumbnail view now appears which is the uncorrected version. For minor and quick PP I use Fastone.

Thanks Pete for your comment. I am on a learning curve with the DSLR. Yes, the parl House has a very slight slope. At the bottom it is slight however at the top it appears more so. I did try and straighten using the bottom as the guide - perhaps I should have taken it from the top.

Every March Canberra has the Enlighten Show. Four to five promenent buildings are lit up by giant projectors which produce a slide show of images that represent the particular building. There plenty of photographers with their tripods almost shoulder to shoulder at one of the buildings...
