Here is the better known panda - the Giant Panda enjoying a breakfast of bamboo

The Giant Panda gets all the press and publicity, and the poor Red Panda is rarely mentioned. It is much smaller than its better known cousin - it is about the size of a fox.

Not quite up there with the Great Wall of China. Here is the red walls of the Wuhou Temple in Chengdu, China

Another stop on my China visit was in Chengdu (Chengdu is the start of the Silk Road). Here they have a Panda Research Center (one of four or five in the country). The Giant Pandas are the main attraction, but they also have the less timid and more active Red Pandas.
