Critique Welcomed ‘Concrete can be beautiful’: readers' modernist American architecture photos

While surfing The Guardian's on-line site this evening this photo essay caught my attention. I was delighted to find one of my photos among the contributions. I have no recollection of submitting it, nor do I recall whatsoever writing the paragraph that accompanies the picture, though apparently I did write it. Granted, the essay is over 7 years old, but still,...I would have thought I would have remembered. I did recognise the picture as looking very much like one of mine, though, so I'm not that senile yet. Here's a link to the essay.

Really impressive, though, being featured in the Guardian. Some other nice pictures too, especially the Seagram, for me at least. I’m sick of skyscrapers. I think we’ve seen a few shots by you of this building. I recall a stunning night shot with the ex-MacKillop camera. You’ve done a lot of good architecture work.

That's likely true. It was my local library for a long time and the fact that it was designed by an icon of modernist architecture lent me a reason to photograph it time and again.
