Different from my taste ... but interesting. I tend to pre-visualize the final image before I release the shutter. I attempt to adjust the camera to reflect and capture the pre-visualized image I imagined. This image would be very difficult for me to pre-visualize. The more I write ... the more I reexamine the photo ... the more interesting it becomes.

This photo actually turned out nothing like I expected.

The reason was I accidentally developed for 24 degree times when it was actually 26 degrees in the room, so these are quite overdeveloped, a lot of the shots are completely fried, but this turned out quite well, somehow!

I thought of this photo of mine when I saw your post. I don't do much macro type work but I couldn't pass up this opportunity. I was out to photograph the Dallas skyline during the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. As I stood waiting I noticed this caterpillar right in front of me. I placed my Canon FD 35-105/macro on my F1-n and took this shot. I have the speed finder on my F1 so I can rotate the finder to waist level viewing just for shots like this. Caterpillars are interesting creatures with their wild hair styles.
