Critique Welcomed A Little Too Zoomed...

I recently purchased a zoom lens I had my eye on for about a year as I am becoming more and more interested in aviation photography since I live close to the Denver airport. The day I received it, I slapped it on and ran over to an area where you can park and the planes fly right over you while on landing approach.

As you can clearly see...I had no clue what I was doing as far as focus and zoom but I kinda like this one. This one, as in, this is the only one from a solid 50+ photos that was even slightly decent...

I have since been reading up on, watching videos about and practicing shooting with a long lens and I think I'm some what getting the hang of it. Time will tell...

That one is a perfectly good shot. Focus is pretty good, the light behind the forward gear adds to the image.

Tracking a moving target while staying framed and focused is very tricky, my success rate is not good.

I also like way it crops the subject and it makes for a very striking image. Looking forward to seeing how you progress.
