A Simple Shot

I like it the composition, its colours well frankly how you did it. What is it about the camera that's so uniqe. Just curious.

Ivar, I have the XE1, and it is a fantastic camera, with great lenses to go with it. But I've discovered over the last couple of years that feel much more comfortable with single, fixed-lens cameras. I don't know why that is at all. Seems odd, but there it is. So, my XE1 is for sale, and I will try to buy another Merrill.

Good image Rob to express the liking for the camera. I have come full circle myself and enjoy the fixed lens camera. The small compact film ones such as The Konica , Olympus Trip and so on, they are so enjoyable to use.

A simple shot but an effective, one. I like this image, Rob. That touch of red and the yellow flowers add much to it I find.

There seems a depth to the Foveon images that conventional digital images don't give.

Cheers, Julian. Love my Trip :)

Cheers, Brian. I think you are right, but I was wondering if I was deluding myself, but there is definitely something to them.

Well, I decided to grab the DP3 while they still make them, so have ordered one from Clifton Cameras. Had to put it on card, but I'll sell something soon, I'm sure.

Won't argue with you, but as I have done, put a 35mm/1,4 on it and it's practically glued on it. Here is a quick portrait done with that combo straight out of the camera in black and white as you see of course and a yellow filter at 1,4Birger-Rygh-2013.jpg
