thanks hamish and stephen. the first three are from an orchard we stopped at. we didn't realize they were having their fall festival that day and probably wouldn't have stopped if we knew about it. by the time we found out we were already in the queue with no way out. it ended up being a pretty nice festival and had a lot more going on other than just the apple butter we'd originally stopped in to buy. the church was a few miles away and we found it on our way out.
