Critique Welcomed Analog

What's a young photographer to do on long winter nights with a new camera? Introduce said camera to an older relative of course!
I found the mechanical appeal of my dads nikon fe2 too good not to take a couple shots, analog cameras sure are pretty and there's something special about the precise feeling of adjusting aperture right on the lens rather than a digital command dial.
Thanks for having a look-see :)

Get out there and get snapping I say! :)
With ya dad's permission of course.... :)

I wouldn't mind giving it a go for sure! Only thing is he put some non-adjustable prescription eyepiece on it, so he can get it to focus, but me? The meter is a lovely blur haha.

Thats what dads do to stop the kids playing with their toys haha.

Now here's an invention not thought of..... Parental lock on cameras?! :):)

That's it!! I'm off to make millions!

I'll get my coat.......

Right! Haha I didn't think of the conspiracy angle, I must ask him about this!
He wil of course deny any intent, but will insist on giving a lengthy and extremely protracted explanation of the finer workings of analogue over digital never forgetting to mention whenever the opportunity arises the cost of said equipment, the cost of refuelling it with that special media blah blah blah...........

see what I done there...... must be the dad in me haha

The diopter should just unscrew from the eye piece! Rather than squeezing it and rotating with your thumb and finger, try unscrewing it using friction to its face. Often the squeezing it makes makes it harder to undo, the harder you try, the more you squeeze, the harder it gets ...
And remember, righty-tighty, lefty-loosey ;)

Haha he already does that sort of thing from time to time! If I ever have to switch out batteries when we're out shooting he takes that as an excellent chance to tell me how cool film is!

Hmm I wonder if it does. If it does and he's never mentioned that this might be even more support for the 'keep the youngins from using dad's toys!' theory!
