And Then There Were None

Taken through grimy windows of recently abandoned shops, capturing dust, forgotten spaces, and fleeting presences of strangers. A few festive decorations linger in the spectacle of the transience of human creations.

This is also the first test of the new camera I treated myself to for my retirement (camera name in the filenames).

Yes, the 300/4 Pro literally stays mounted to my OM-1. Virtually ALL of my bird photos are taken using that combination.

You have such an extended list of cameras
I think I have 15 or so. A mix of film and digital. mFT, FF, APS-C, MF and LF. Lately I have been shooting a lot with the Nikon D810 which was my last acquisition. I love the optical view finder.

I have the M.Zuiko 12mm which I bought to pair with the OM-1's "starry sky" AF mode. It works great. I also have the M.Z. 9-18 zoom although for the life of me I don't know why. Then the 17 and the 300. Most of my mFT glass is Panasonic/Lumix since after I (mistakenly) got rid of my LX100, I replaced it with a gx85 then added the gx9. I tend to leave specific lenses on cameras as when I go out, I don't usually take any other lenses along. It seems that I tend to favor mid-range zooms although the 28-200 Nikkor that I got with the D700 works great on the D810. I also seem to have a pile of 50mm in various brands to fit most of the cameras (or a "normal" equivalent) since they seem to be a good value.

Usually I have one camera and one or two lenses. And I keep that combo for years. I know that you loved the LX100, with all its strengths and weaknesses, but I don't see it in your signature. Perhaps it deserves a mention. Mine is now passing to my wife, who is fed up with the poor photos taken with her mobile phone, so I certainly won't be putting it in the loft.

I no longer have the LX100. My signature only contains cameras I have at the moment.

I hope your wife enjoys the LX100. It certainly can take better photos than a phone but tbh, phones can take pretty good shots these days.
