I saw this and just had to have it after reading up a bit on it, its a Carl Zeiss London 15cm large format lens, most of the lenses you will see are Carl Zeiss Jena lenses - ie built in Jena. This is a London lens, the number on the lens shows that it was made in the last year they were making lenses in the UK, before the war....the first one...the lens was made in 1913.
It would normally have a dial set shutter (rather than the later ring set ones) but this is just a barrel lens, which is probably why I won it. Its fine for me as the speed graphic has a focal plane shutter unlike some large format cameras. I would just need a lens board, its a 15cm or 150mm lens, which for large format works out to be a 50mm equivilent for 4x5.
Anyhow, there is also something else odd about it, can you see what it might be?
