Saw a post about ANZAC Day but can't find it again so this is refering to it but separately. It is the equivalent now to Rememberence Day in the UK but is always on April 25th and a national holiday here in New Zealand. It commemorated the Galipoli landing in WWI originally but now remembers all Australians and New Zealanders who have given their lives in conflicts around the world. The poppy is a feature and wreaths laid at war memorials. There are a couple of details from Dunedin's Cenotaph.
