Aravaipa Canyon

Here is a photo blog of a nearby canyon that is very beautiful. It's about 45 minutes northeast of Tucson, Arizona, USA. To help protect this wonderful place there is now a permit system to try to limit the visitors a bit. This is a hike up a creek and about half of that is wading. The good news is that it's still warm here this time of year and only about mid-calf deep.

Gorgeous, Dennis. And quite different to the previous places. I really like the contrast between the vegetation in the gorge and the succulents on the cliffs.

Wonderful set of pictures, what a beautiful place. I too noticed the contrast, clearly the canyon has it's own micro-climate.
