Amazing how in the right conditions those old basic point and shoot cameras could take good shots. I had a very basic Haminex 35mm camera that had no flash and 2 settings, Sunny / cloudy. It actually took quite good shots and had a nice DOF that allowed quite close up shots. I always had an issue with the way the films were developed though, they always seemed to have a lot of noise / grain in dark areas as if the machine tried to increase the exposure level in the dark areas.

Quite nice Hamish apart from the dust and the scratch on the negative! I gave my Mother one of these years back. She died last year and I found it in a drawer with a film in which I must develop (C41).

Hawk eyes askew !!!! I see them now,love this. great capture hamish, right up my street. Dunno about following old lasts down the canal tho!!!

Only when forced to! I used to do quite a bit but I only shoot B&W film now (and use digital for colour) but I do have a couple of kits left. They are well out of date but then so is the film and I suspect the shots are not masterpieces. I'll try and work out how to describe the process when I'm back in the UK (I don't have any colour chemistry in Germany).
