As the sun is setting, this time of year produces some spectacular colours and silhouettes. I decided to brave some high ISO shooting on my Pentax with a recently boomeranged lens and was pleasantly surprised by the results. Ah, so now, I see that these images answer the question I asked over on your 'Looking Back' thread: so you did see the sunset tonight!
These are great Wes.

Just after we finished speaking on the phone, I opened the front door to leave the house and had to run back in to grab a camera.
 
Thanks Chris, I was itching to nip out during that call as I could see the sky! It was truly spectacular over the canal, I'm glad I made it.

You mentioned you grabbed a camera- did you manage to snap anything of the setting sun?

I did!
I stopped beside Blea Tarn reservoir and snapped this one...
