This is the path I used to get to primary school. About a mile, then change the welly boots and into school shoes, as soon as wee hit the road. The wellies were left hidden in the hedge for the afternoon walk home. Seems an awfully long time ago.

There is no way any kid would be allowed to walk that route these days- mind it would justify the Chelsea Tractor for the school run, nevermind if one splashes the poor kids with mud.

Wonderful image, wonderfully colourised if I may say so:rolleyes: and yes quite some years ago I gather. I love the story of yours too and for taking us back when I wished I had had a camera;)

Thanks Ivar. Yes the time I spent working overseas at Sixteen, Noth and South Africa, Seychelles, middle east and so on I have no images from, I wished I had had a camera. I salivate on the thought now of being there then with a camera, although would I struggle with such wonderful colours? ;)
