It was a beautiful thing to see, but a bugger to capture. Hands and knees job, with my not so elegant, ageing knees hurting like never before. Getting auld! I can only play guitar for half an hour a day just now, due to osteoarthritis in my fingers. I can only hope to age so elegantly.

Sad to hear about your minimized guitar work, Rob. Any prospects for improvement?

It's incurable, so the emphasis is on minimising the pain. Steroid injections have been mentioned, or anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen, or acupuncture, non of which sound very attractive. So far it's just the left-hand index finger, middle joint, which I can more or less cope with, Brian. The fear is of it spreading to the other fingers. My doctor sent me for an x-ray and a blood test, awaiting results. I'm a bit concerned, but not desperate so far. Cheers.
