Big Brother

Hoping these would arrive here as I enjoyed looking at these on Flickr. Liking the first two over the last which is very different. I'd stop by if I found these hanging on a wall with interest, particularly the first one.
Any explanation on how they were achieved Rob?

Well, I shook the camera gently while taking it, and had in mind at that moment what treatment I would be giving it. I de-structured it in LR4, then put it through Nik Colour for heavy Glamour Glow. And added a slight frame. The last one was just deliberately over-exposed, then even more so in LR4, leaving just enough. But I agree it is not the same as the other two.

That is how I did those abstracts of Mevagissey by wobbling the camera. I like it when it works.

Do you still paint, Julian?
Not for the last three years after 35 years of. All the easels, canvases and paints are still out. Yet I found myself digging out some blank canvases the other day and looking over the paints. I need to as well it has been such a big part of my life. Although a friend wants me to help him out with ideas about some ceramics at the moment and borrow the kiln , which I have not fired up for a couple of years, now. Clicking a shutter button is much more social as I get out, which is what is attractive about photography. Painting is a very solitary existent.

And messy. I've never done any painting, not since primary school. I just don't have any pull in that direction, though I do love to look at paintings. I'm sure both disciplines would help each other.
