Needed a little photography fix today so went looking for images in the back yard. It was too windy for what I really was after (dew covered spiderwebs), so this little bromeliad on a river birch will have to do. X-E2 & XF60 macro.
It grows on the tree. It is a variant of Spanish Moss, which is not a moss but a bromeliad. It is an epiphyte - it does not take nutrients from the tree.
I never knew that Spanish Moss was in the bromeliad family. Interesting. And I love the shot and the fine details such as the cobweb. And the vignette works a treat. Nice.
