Canon EOS300D

Hi
Although I am a 35mm addict, I do like to use my point and shoot digital. I have pondered over buying an EOS300D body. I already have an EOS300 film camera and assume that the Canon zoom lens would fit a 300D digital body?
Would anybody recommend (or not) the 300D to learn the rudiments of slr digital photography?

They are pretty (very) old now ... Maybe a 400d ... It at very least has a larger screen on the back.

your lens should fit though!

Get the latest bottom of the line canon camera. It should be a 4 digit number like the 1000d. A 300d is 7 or 8 years old now and a lot off advances have been made in digital sensors since then. Can't look up the prove but I think they're around 500usd.
