Cathedral Cave

Yesterday I had a walk to Cathedral Cave in Little Langdale. The Lake District.

1. The open air section between the tunnels - the 400ft pitch black tunnel is behind us. entry to main chamber at the bottom and the roof hole is that big one on the right.

nice tones. nice job with the exposure on the third, love the sense of scale in the last one.

Interesting Dave and, as Beth says, the figures really adds to the sense of scale. I do like the way you have rendered these Dave. They remind me of the half tone plates you used to find in books. Nice.

Thanks - these are all bracketed HDR shots.

Not much option with shots like No3. Without HDR or exposure blending of some other sort you'd have either a whited out hole in the roof - or a black cave!
