CD printing for clients

Mostly my English speaking customers get a private gallery and download options, however most of my Japanese customers seem happier with a CD.

I want to have a stock of CDs which are printed with my logo and maybe in a presentation wallet or case with some kind of sleeve or insert. It's troublesome to do this myself, so, where are you using and, any other options re presentation, that I should consider?

Would be nice to have one image from the shoot maybe printed on the insert card, so perhaps that is a part that I can do. Any recommendations for appropriate software, with templates etc?

printable cd's are fairly easy to get, I used to do them for my club... they look quite professional, though you do need a printer for it, though again they are cheap

one thing that has always bugged me

do I need a Cdr, or a CDrw?

I 'think' the Cdr is a one shot write which would be fine if it is for customers, CDrw are Re-Writable so the customer would be able to write over your work which you don't want

CDRs are single write - you can add additional files onto the disk up until the limit but can't remove the files already on there, the CDRW is thicker and you can rewrite data to a certain limit. Its probably easier to just get CDRs as they are cheaper, I think you can also get printable sticker kits that you can stick over the CDs instead of printing directly on them.

heres one I printed a few back for my club night

On the subject of blank CD's, What's the difference between the CDR+ and the CDR- disks?
