First large catch of 2014. Although we are well into 2014 the weather ate sea has been that the fishing has been very limited. The fish have been scarce so for the last four months the fishing industry has not had a good time.
It is great to be quay side when the boats are unloading, amongst friends, it is time to catch up have chin wag and take the odd photograph.
The reckoning was a catch of about two thousand stone , over rather than under. Quality Pollack, Cod and Ling.
The family helped the crew out who had been away a while. They iced the fish as it was put into large bins. A fork lift truck ferried the bins into van which takes each load through narrow streets from the harbour to a waiting articulated lorry at the bus stop, which is to large to access the harbour side.
