Were these shot at maximum aperture?

Thanks Pete, I shot these with F2 while the maximum aperture for my Summilux 50mm is F1.4

I have the 35mm f/1.4 and the 24 f/1.4. I use a Zeiss f/1.5 and have the f/1 Noctilux but had been contemplating the 50 f/1.4 for a while. It is nice to see some images made with it and to hear how it performs.

Which 35 F1.4 did u own? Is it the pre A version 11663?

The latest version, the ASPH (I bought it a couple of months ago). My 35mm is older but is the ASPH version also.

I have tried my friend's 11663 and the Titian version and both lens are really awesome! However they are way too expensive for me.... Between the second hand prices for all Leica M len in Hong Kong keep increasing, is it also happening in your country?

It does here also and it isn't helped by the low availability of new items. I was lucky that one of the dealers we use a lot just happened to have one in stock. My M9 took over 6 months from paying in full but the Monochrome only took a couple of weeks or so. Still I appreciate that they are still made by hand by experienced technicians and would rather this than they compromise on quality etc.

Monochrome is my next target for Leica digital, however it won't happen in a while since it's an other expensive toy. I wish I could own it soon

It's a fabulous tool Aldous. I was reluctant at first, until I started seeing the output. It has far exceeded my expectations.

I'm totally agree with you Pete, I knew the power of Monochrome and that's the reason Monochrome is my next target. I believed there are no any cameras can replace Monochrome currently

Neither of you taken by the typ 240?

Nope Hamish, never thought to pay for M240. I did struggled about to wait for M240 before I paid my M9P early this year. However in my point view that there are CMOS digitals in the market which can replace M240 like the Sony full frame or similar quality like Fujifilm with much much cheaper price. If M240 is CCD instead of CMOS, then I think I will wait for it instead of getting M9P

So far not. The idea of using alternative lenses / live view doesn't really excite me and I have other ways of doing that that are much more interesting. But who knows...
