Nice one, Nihat. Is that a baptismal font? You've framed it very nicely, as if the breach in the ruined walls is forming a funnel into the font.

Pete, thank you very much. It was a dull morning looking eastward. :)

As always...excellent photo. Also interesting Nihat... I actually had the opportunity to visit Turkey, Istanbul, a few times back in the early 70's. I found it fascinating...albeit the troops on the street corners with Uzi's was a little worry some. Did you realize that your info link is here in Boston? Mosaic Boston Church...

Thank you very much, Glenn. :)

Sorry, I did not understand "your info link is here in Boston? Mosaic Boston Church". Could you explain?

It is nice that you actually did see Istanbul before the rural migration from eastern provinces changed the city forever. Yes, '70 were chaotic times as Turkey was the frontline in the cold war. As the results of the super-powers' territorial influences, increased armed struggle of left and right factions of higher education in particular brought much violence that ended with the military take over in 1980 for 3 years.

Sorry Nihat...When I clicked on your "more information" link... embedded in the information was a link to Mosaic Boston Church...it was one of those ads that are tuned toward your local area. My not enough coffee yet mistake.
