Since I picked up a fantastic condition Canon EOS-3 35mm camera a couple weeks ago - I felt the overwhelming urge to own a digital in the same mount.
I have done this with my Nikon D800 and Nikon F4S, and to a lesser degree my Nikon F2 & FT2. I have a Minolta a7 35mm, and the matching Minolta 7D.
So it only felt right that I extend the group fun to the EF mount now that I own a EOS-3.
After much debate, and consulting one of the hardest to find bodily organs I have (the cheap gland) I decided on a Canon 5D MKII or III. Perusing the mercantile of broken paychecks (e-bay) I found a mint condition with extras, low shutter count Canon 5D MKII. I also received a bonus, approx 900 vacation pictures on the memory card. Unfortunately, there was nothing in the form of debauchery. Just a bunch of pics of some vacation time in what appears to be Washington state.
So here is the pair amongst their new found harem:

And I took a couple pics at lunch with the Canon 85mm 1.8. These are basically unedited minus a slight straightening. First thing I noticed in comparison to my D800 which I use often - the colors of the Canon are much more attractive "out of the box." I also like the ergonomics quite a bit, but have to give the Nikon the edge there.
