Thank you Both Rob and Glenn. On reflection the processing is a bit heavy. With a revisit the tones could be improved. I have been using a new raw converter . Experimenting a bit.

I agree, yet his life's scares actually were extreme, even in the raw file it does lean toward HRD look, because of it. The reason he stood out were these features. His tan was very orange as well for real, I wondered at the time if that gave more clarity and over cooked the detail. No idea.
Digital photography eh, must try this new film stuff that is in vogue, far more respectful.
I'd rather neve r take responsibility but in this case of course It is all learning process for me, partly trying things out, it is not until you put something out there, taking a more detached view, you see things that first time you avoided seeing.
Wouldn't it be great to have a pic that completely satisfied.
