I know what you mean about sci-fi Pete ... I'm going to go with dystopian fiction
You can imagine a lot of heavy industry just over the horizon blocked by the fence... its bellowing out steam ... If you turn around there are probably a load of people all wearing the same clothes laughing and frolicking under the illusion of some sort of (probably drug sustained) happiness
