Another flower, another colour image...

This Poppy was planted by my wife in our garden some years ago, and is regularly battered by early summer rain just after bursting out...

I envisaged a dancer with swirling skirts, hence the title...but maybe it's just me...

Surely that should be Buleria, singular!

One Buleria lasts for 12 beats, which would be over in seconds. Hence, Bulerias, Soleares, Fandangos, Alegrias, etc. Bulerias is the most lively and can be electrifying.

I studied flamenco a wee bit some 20 years ago, and accompanied dancers in a flamenco dance class in Dundee. Nothing flashy. I just concentrated on the rhythms for the beginners dance class. Good fun, but not ultimately what I wanted to do.

I have to step in here and second that Douglas. This is a wonderful image and a wonderful title that suits it fine.
