Nice and cheerful up there Rob
The Gunnera has seen better days, a good set and that last one is a cracking photo. Love those marks in the foreground especially
Yes the plant, in the 3rd and 4th images. They lay the leaves over the plants crown in the winter to help keep the frost from thawing to quick. Gunnera
Strange how this time of year is great for taking photographs, yet we need a kick up the backside to get motivated and out there to do it...I'm sure there must be a scientific term for it...!
Fabulous set, Rob. Those clouds in the second to last are pretty amazing - full of om! But the last of the Gunnera shots is my favourite. I like the filigree of twigs in the shots of the trees too.
Cheers, Pete. It was one of those days where everywhere I turned there was something worth shooting. Not so long ago I would go days, weeks without seeing anything. You've got to be in the zone to see it.
Reminds me of a guy I used to work with who came from darkest Strath-Glasgow...every time our boss phoned him to get him out to work, his wife would advise he was at the Post Office...wasn't long before we all discovered this was the name of the local pub...!
