I think this may be the first time I've posted in this section
There's a story behind this photograph. (Isn't there always?) I've introduced you to Purdy before - our white cat with the brain tumour. She is now so wobbly that she is mostly confined to her bed in the corner of the dining room, but she is still happy and the most feisty cat I have ever known. This afternoon we gave her a bath because she gets very messy while eating. She loved being towel dried and then we popped her back in bed and started doing the evening rounds. Five minutes later she was in the kitchen - heaven only knows how - across the entire dining room and over a big step. She wanted to go in the garden, so we carried her out and sat for half an hour as the evening sun filtered through the willow.
Then I spotted this leaf. Now I can't do macro as I only have the one lens, but I wondered just what was possible, especially if I cropped a bit. I had to tinker a bit with Nik to get some separation and I've taken colour out of the grass rather than adding any to the leaf...
