DIY Macro Flash Diffuser

With an old mastic tube, a lid from a hair wax tub, some felt, rubber trim, foil, tape & glue I came up with the interim thingy to see me through until I get round to getting a decent flash gun. Works quite well but just need a few tweaks and a bit of practice to use and it should do nicely.

I may have a go at something like that. Is it just taped onto the camera and used with the camera's built in Flash?

I managed to cut the hole so that it clips onto the camera. I used some rubber trim to help it grip. Its not obvious from the photo but the inside is lined with some clear plastic backed with tin foil. Works supprising well, much better than I could have imagined.
